Solstice Tidings

Happy Solstice everyone! I love this time of year, everything is warm, glowing and golden sweet–including me! I happily admit to being a “throwback” to a different age. I make my own soaps and lotions, tinctures and potions, salves, ointments and even a poultice or two! LOL

I’m seldom bored, since I keep myself busy one way or another. Today, I made row after row of lip gloss and, dare I say it…?

Flavored body oil for umm, well, slippery good fun. LOL It’s quite easy, and it only takes a little, ’cause it does go a long way…

Start with a food safe oil, something like Sunflower oil (high in Vitamin E) or Sweet Almond Oil (please note if you are allergic to nuts, do not use a nut-based oil, instead try vegetable oil), and add flavoring oil to taste (most cake decorating stores carry these flavor oils), and to sweeten the deal, just a little drop or two of honey. If you or your partner are allergic to honey, then substitute corn syrup–but easy does it! You don’t want your slippery fun turned into a sticky mess–or do you, you naughty thing? LOL

I can’t decide which to test out this weekend. Butter Rum or Blueberry Bop? Or maybe Coconut Cream Pie? ;) What do you think? Let me know.
