Vote and Win!

In case you didn’t already suspect it, I have a wicked streak. A naughty side, if you will. And I bore easily. :)

So…I decided to play around in the kitchen today. Other women might make jello or bake brownies…being naughty and a bit hungry I made something entirely different.

And I want to invite all of you to vote for your favorite.

I’ll tally the votes and pick a winner from everyone who voted (no matter which mouth-watering frozen treat you choose). Contest ends Monday, August 14.
The winner will be notified by email.

  41. joye Says:

I like your kind of kitchen experiments. But I want #3 with nuts!

  42. Cass Says:

    Hey Joye!

You’ll have make that #3 with nuts yourself. LOL Luckily for you, I have the recipe!

    I start with:
6 big, fat, and long bananas.
1 large bag of semi-sweet chocolate made for dipping
1 med. bag of chopped nuts (I like pecans, but you can use any nuts you like)
lots of wax paper and/or parchment paper
and a bunch of unused popsicle sticks.

I start by freezing the bananas in the skins in the freezer for an hour. Then I take them out, peel them and chop off about 1/2 inch at the base.

I then shove a popsicle stick in the end I cut flat and push it about 1/3 of the way up the center, taking great care not to break the banana or ruin that wonderful, natural curve.

I pour all the chocolate into a microwave safe mixing bowl and heat on high for 45 seconds or until just melted.

I stir the chocolate a little–not much, then I pour the bag of nuts onto a doubled sheet of wax paper.

Dip the banana in the chocolate, taking care to cover thoroughly, then transfer to the nuts and roll the banana in the nuts.

Set on parchment or wax paper and do your next banana. As the chocolate cools, it hardens into a protective coating. The process should be done as quickly as possible.

Wrap each banana in wax paper separately and then place into ziplock freezer bags and seal.

Place all wrapped and freezer bagged bananas in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours. Remove individually, when ready to eat.

How simple is that? Delish and simple! Go ahead, be the talk of your neighborhood.

Get your hubby or boyfriend excited beyond all reason.

Nothing better than a good lovin’ man. :grin:
