Paranormal Tapas Party
What: Paranormal Tapas Party
Where: The Midnight Moon Cafe (http://midnightmooncafe.blogspot.com)
When: Thursday, May 17, 2007 All Day Long
I love paranormal novellas and shorts. I liken it to tapas, that Spanish culinary custom that seems to have taken the U.S. by storm.
Tapas are “little dishes,” that is, snack-size foods meant to be eaten between meals. Tapas are still extremely popular in Spain and there are tapas bars in the U.S., as well.
The history of tapas is an old one. It probably dates from the Middle Ages, when field workers would take a small meal with them into the fields, meant to be eaten as they worked, or on a short break. Olives, bread and cheese, perhaps with a small slice of ham or other meat, often comprised this small meal.
So you have a snack of several little dishes, sometimes nothing more than a bite or two–like the delicious little Amber kisses or Amber novellas from my own publisher Amber Heat/Amber Quill Press.
Most of the epublishers out there have revived the short story form, in tasty little snacks for readers. I encourage you to try a little literary tapas, my friends. It’ll do you good! ![]()
This Thursday, I will be offering up a tasty treat of my own, a $5 gift certificate good for Amber Heat, so that one lucky reader can try an Amber Quill Kiss or Extended Kiss.
Check back Thursday for our very first tapas party and find out how you can enter to win. See you then!
