The Nearness of You was Ron's favorite song in A Soldier's Love, and Stardust was Katie's favorite song. The Glenn Miller song, The Story of a Starry Night, played heavily in the plot throughout Gold Star Wife. For Sentimental Reasons was Scott's favorite song in A Different Tune. I think I goofed a little with that one, though. While the song was written during the war years, it didn't become a huge hit until 1946. Other songs that I've mentioned in my books are all 40s standards: Sentimental Journey, I Don't Want To Walk Without You, Moonlight Cocktail, Blue Rain, White Christmas just to mention a few.
