Derby Fever is Spreading!
It’s that time of year again, and yours truly has Derby fever. I hate that I cannot have my annual Derby Party…but who says I can’t have it online! Woot! And ya’ll are invited!
So listen up, ’cause here’s what I intend to do.
Go to http://www.kentuckyderby.com/2008/
and check out the contenders for this year’s Kentucky Derby. Then come back here and post who you think is going to win.
You have until 3 p.m. eastern standard time on Saturday, May 3rd, to pick your winner and post it. Any posts after that will be disqualified - so no cheating! LOL.
If you pick the winner, you’ll win a special Derby prize package filled with goodies from the bluegrass! In the event more than one person picks the winner, there will be a random drawing among all the entrants who picked the 2008 Kentucky Derby Winner.
Also, if a horse you pick gets scratched, hussle on back to my blog before 3pm Saturday and post again with the note: my first pick got scratched! Then pick yourself a new horse.

Winner will be announced on my blog Sunday, May 4th.

My dad would be so proud! I grew up on the Derby. Even though Dad raced harness horses, he still followed the Derby every year…

Don’t know much about it but I see there is a horse called Cliff’s Edge running and I like that name.

A friend of mine is the father of Pyro’s exercise rider Dominic Terry. I would not dare go for any other horse. Besides, I’ve seen the videos of his works… Pyro FTW!

Nah, Maria, you got it in here on time. My webhost is in the Bermuda Triangle I guess since it’s Atlantic time and not eastern standard there. LOL
I also had 2:40 or 2:44pm. So you’re good. But did you pick the winner? I guess we’ll know in a couple of hours. :)
