Deadlines and Putting Out Fires

I swear I think Mercury is in retrograde early! Between deadlines and “putting out fires” I am reeling. Whew.

Ya’ll ever had days like that? You know, the ones where nothing seems to go right and then one after another emergency hits and you better think on your feet, girl– or the whole kit n’ kaboodle is gonna blow up in your face? Oh yeah, one of those days. So far, those days are stringing like pearls on a necklace, with nothing but a tiny knot in-between.

Now, I could panic. I used to do that pretty well, in fact. But having had sarcoid and cancer changed my perspective some. So I just sit back like a spectator to all the shit going on and watch it happen. I could ask why, but I already know part of the answer. The fates.

First off, the fates can be a real bitch or three, LOL. But you have to remember that at all times, you have free will. And you can choose to exercise that free will or give it a pass and leave it up to the fates. Me being, well…me, I choose to be proactive and see where the possibilities flow.

To quote Bruce Lee, “Be water my friend.”

So I am being water, fierce as a wave crashing onto shore when needed, but also as calm and placid as a lake and gentle as a brook.

Not sure where the stream will take me, but I am waving to the fates on the rocky shoreline as I pass them by.

Hope your week has been calm and productive. If not, then don’t forget to wave as you sail past your own worries and problems.

Be water, my friends. ((hugs))

Sorry life has been so hectic for you lately. Doesn’t it always seem that everything happens at once.

You know what that old Chinese curse says, “May you live in interesting times.”

Hope things settle back to something resembling normal for you soon.

    Thanks, NJ.

I also have noticed that everything comes in threes. Since 3 is a very important number in both Celtic folklore and mythology, there has to be a reason behind such occurrences. But I know better than to search for the reasons behind everything. On that path lies madness. LOL.

I think I might be stuck in a whirlpool. The fates don’t seem to be getting any further away.

Hope your week gets better! *hugs*
