Networking 101
Okay, my idea of networking is to call up a bunch of my friends, have them bring a friend, and we all sit around playing erotic Pictionary by a bonfire and drink piña coladas. ::shrugs:: I like people, but I am just not a schmoozer, ya know?
Ask anyone who has met me in person and they’ll tell you I’m more like a thundering herd of wild-eyed wildebeast when I’m forced to mingle at those über yuppie types of social events.
But in Second Life, the “N” word takes on a whole new meaning. I am actually enjoying the infamous “N.” Go figure. Not sure if it is the aspect of virtually meeting so many people so easily by “teleporting” and not leaving the house, or if it is the music and dancing, but SL makes networking less unpleasant and a lot more fun.
My hubby says it’s the costumes. He could be right. I always loved to play dress up as a little girl, and the clothing is a major plus. My boot habit has easily tripled since I discovered Second Life. lol.
For those of you who have never seen SL or tried to go “in world,” you gotta give it a try. It’s a neat experience. Oh and IM me if you do and say hi. I’d love to meet you!

Oh and here is a picture of “me” as a mermaid in SL, partying with some of my new friends at their birthday party!
