I finally reached a smacks forehead moment on my current work-in-progress and I owe it to Cora Zane and Holly Lisle. My wip is a futuristic cum romantic comedy cum suspense thriller cum alternate history cum…and actually very little cumming is getting done. rofl. So I am narrowing down the scope of the overarcing theme and the genre because honestly folks, a book cannot be all things to all people. Just not possible.
So I am slashing out much of the humor and rounding out the suspense…and somewhere in there I can only hope my poor long-suffering heroine gets laid. God and Goddess bless her heart. lol.
I think you’re onto something with that story. It’s a black comedy in a modern-futuristic setting. Not everyone can do that well, but I think you’ve got the chops to make it salable. Whip that puppy into shape and get it out there!
