Happy 4th!

After checking my emails and giving the blender a good daquiri workout, I popped into SL to check out a notice I’d received regarding a missing dolphin I had that had strayed off my property. My guess is the fireworks scared him away. lol. While searching for the missing dolphin, I spied the festivities nearby at a local mall where I and fellow author Maggie Berkley have poster art of our book covers displayed. I loved the red, white & blue theme, grabbed a virtual hot dog off the grill and saw that Cora had also popped into SL for a brief visit. Never one to waste a good opportunity to shop, I pulled her along on a mini-skirt quest, part of the 60L weekends.

Happy to say we both snagged a really cute blue/bronze shimmery number that looked great with our new tanned skins. :)

Back to RL all too soon, I took video of the man lighting firecrackers and setting the night blazing. The smoke about did me in at one point, so I had to come inside the house for a breather. Whew.

Sad to report that the special remote firing contraption I bought for the fireworks didn’t work and since its no return I can’t take it back and get my money back. Ah well…there went $20 for nothing. It would have been cool though, had it worked. Man bear said he would have told me not to waste my money if he’d known I was buying it, but he only saw it in the car after I bought it. Well fiddlesticks!

In other news, I had a friend do a tarot reading for me, because I can never do my own and get an accurate reading, I think because I am too close to the subject–me. lol. So she did my reading and it was very close to what Cora’s said, so I got confirmation of a sorts. Basically a long, difficult road ahead of me, but light at the end of the tunnel. Good gravy, I sure hope so. After the difficult journey I’ve had this year, I need some light somewhere. But then, don’t we all?

Well, at least it’s the MMC’s anniversary–4 years! Woot! And I’ll be busy making sure the MMC staff don’t drink up all the rum. That’s my job! rofl.

Until next time…

Cass
