And third, my mother was in the hospital this last week. She was rushed to ER and they found she had congestive heart failure and had possibly had a stroke. I am happy to say she was released from the hospital today and is now home resting. Whew. Had us all scared a mite there.

But as always, she rallies and is now fiesty as ever, givin’ ‘um hell and biscuits, rofl.

I am making some headway on my latest projects, but admittedly not as much as I’d hoped this week, due to staying up at the hospital with mom as much as possible. She may have gained a new reader for me though, lol. One of the nurses is apparently a big Gena Showalter fan. Not that my work is anything like Gena’s, but it is paranormal. :D So mom gave her one of my cards with my links on it.

Finally, I plan to (with Cora’s help) migrate my blog over to blogger. Yes, I know, only seems a few years ago, WordPress was the thing and everyone was migrating their blog here from Blogger, but I can’t design or write or understand WordPress, especially the CSS or is it CFS format? See I don’t even know. lol. So Blogger will be easier for me to do and hopefully I will keep up with it better and update it more often.

I’d love to have my website redone, but I keep putting it off until I sell one of my urban fantasy books. This design is great for where I was and what I was doing back when, but now it feels a little dated and not headed in the direction I hope to take my work in the future, so watch for the construction signs because after July, I plan to get busy redecorating the place. :P

The campfire ghost stories event last night in SL was a great success! Over 22 people showed up for the event. Fruit Islands event planner and creative genius Lizzo Dreamscape designed the look and feel of the campfire location, converting the Mango Islands Yacht Club Soundstage area into the pictured setting above. As the night progressed, more campers showed up, tucked into sleeping bags or sitting by the fire, and listened to my real life ghost stories. Using both photos from real life encounters and captured evps (electronic voice phenomena), the lecture/workshop lasted well beyond the one hour time frame set aside for the event. I took questions from the audience and answered as many as I could, but had to leave eventually. I hope to do another of these campfire events or something similar sometime next month.  Thanks to Liz for an exceptional job decorating and organizing the event. ((hugs))

I’m a firm believer in reincarnation, but I think we have the choice. It’s all about free will, baby. I posted about this topic over at the Midnight Moon Cafe and you can read it in it’s entirety there. I also posted a couple of You Tube Vids on the topic, a great documentary on the subject.

I am polishing up another wip and hope to have it ready for my critique partner soon. Hopefully it won’t make her eyes cross too much. lol.

In my short story Wish Upon The Stars, Megan Prosser wonders if the universe is listening, because none of her wishes ever get granted, and after twenty-nine years of trying, she’s given up on her dreams.

Thorne Monroe is a catalyst, a type of angelic civil service worker, whose job is to manuever seeming coincidences and make things happen in people’s lives.  A specialist in serendipity, he is assigned as Megan’s new case worker. Right from the start he knows Megan is a special case, and possibly his last if he can convince her to take a chance on love one more time.

Wish Bundles

Here’s how to make a wish bundle of your very own:

1. Take a square piece of felt or cloth and lay it flat on a table.

2. Place a mustard seed in the center of the cloth.

3. Add a picture or pictures of what you want in the center with the mustard seed.

4. If what you want is an intangible thing, like happiness, use a picture of yourself when you were happy. If the wish is for more money, place a silver coin in the center of the cloth.

5. Gather the corners of the cloth together and tie with a string or cord, so that it makes a small bundle.

6. Dig a small hole in your backyard or in a potted container if you live in an apartment.

7. With heartfelt sincerity, say the following: I open my heart to the universe and ask my desires be fulfilled. Within the bundle, I place my wishes and ask the Goddess and God to bless and accept my offering. So be it and so it is.

Now bury the bundle in the hole and cover it with the remaining dirt. Allow several weeks for the universe to answer and watch and see the results. For some people it may take longer for the universe to rearrange your life in order to fulfill the request.

8. Document the changes in your life during this time and watch for any opportunities that come your way, because they may be the answers you seek!

I kept waiting for the Birdman to pick up that feather, but I guess he wasn’t interested. Awesome show and looking forward to what you find in the next 100 episodes.
